From the Publisher
The Four Winds is a rich, sweeping novel that stunningly brings to life the Great Depression and the people who lived through it―the harsh realities that divided us as a nation and the enduring battle between the haves and the have-nots. A testament to hope, resilience, and the strength of the human spirit to survive adversity, The Four Winds is an indelible portrait of America and the American dream, as seen through the eyes of one indomitable woman whose courage and sacrifice will come to define a generation.
My Thoughts
I couldn't wait to read The Four Winds! I found it to be compelling, evocative and well written. When I finished this story it stayed with me for quite awhile.
I came away with a stronger, deeper respect for my grandparents and for those who lived thru the Great Depression. I also had a new sense of hope. A hope that with faith and each other, we can and will make it through the challenges that life sends our way.
