Life Unexpected

Aaron and Mr. Paul

Our family life unexpectedly changed on March 23, 2019 when my husband suffered a massive heart attack. 5 weeks in ICU, 3 weeks in PCU and Aaron is alive, fully alert but very weak and still in the hospital. Complications from his illness haves kept him in there but we are hoping next week he'll be moved to rehab and after that, will be able to come home.

I wanted to post something here in our family blog but until today, I just couldn't bring myself to write it down in words.  It's not been an easy road for our family. It has been far harder than I ever thought life could be but in truth, God has been with us every step of the way. Friends have poured out of the woodwork and been so supportive. There have been so many blessings bestowed upon us during this horrific event.

With rehab looming ahead of us, I know the journey will get harder and there will good and bad days for both Aaron, myself and the family.  I'd be foolish to say that I'm not grieving the life we had but I am so glad Aaron is with us still and we all look forward to the day he comes home.

If you feel inclined, please pray for Aaron and for us as we go through this challenge. We'd be most appreciative of it.  Thank you!

Hi Renee, it's good to hear from you again but I'm so sorry about what's been going on with your husband. I can't imagine what it's been like both seeing him so ill and going through that stress. Praying for all of you.

Hi again Renee - just wanted to check with you to see how Aaron is doing. Praying he is gaining strength and maybe is home?
