I found this recipe a few years back and I use it all the time. It's a staple that I keep around and it can be used for any recipe calling for Bis*quick. This recipes uses a 5-pound sack of flour when doubled.
Ingredients:
9 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of salt
2/3 cup dry milk
1/2 cup shortening (if you only use shortening and not margerine - use 1 cup)
1/2 cup soft margarine (*)
3 teaspoons baking powder
Directions:
Mix flour and other dry ingredients. Cut in shortening/margarine.
Use a mixer on low to cut in the shortening to save time. Store in an airtight container up to 6 months.
( *) Refrigerate mix if using butter but fo my own peace of mind, I keep both in the refrigerator.
